leopards and beautiful jewels

My mission is to get in the christmas spirit as im really not feeling it this year - boooo i know. So today im going to my mums work where the primary school choir are singing, and if anything is going to get me in the spirit it will be mince puddings, mulled wine and a carol service! :)

So here's a wee piccy of my outfit today ..

LOVE LOVE LOVE this armour style of jewellery in at the moment!
Very statement so only need one of them on at any time - this one is my fav!
Topshop - £8.00
Here's a close up ..

Teamed up two cross necklaces, one baby one £4.00 Topshop
and a bigger one, made up of little skulls (picture doesnt show it in good detail) £10.00 Topshop

Also in love with wedges, and now I cant walk in normal heeled shoes as im too used to a wedge!
These beauties are from River Island £45.00 ?? I cant quite remember!
These shoe boots are perfect and go with almost any outfit!

I even took the photo in front of my mums tree for the christmas spirit!
(Self-timed picture so please excuse)
Leopard print leggings - Topshop £20.00?
Black Top - Topshop £16.00
Black Furry Bag - Peacocks £12.00 (yes, peacocks, LOL. i liked the bag)

I am obviously not wearing the shoe boots to my mums work, a little over dressy! Changed into flat ankle boots with chunky socks over the leggings :)

Also thinking i need to dye my hair again, a wee bit lighter in thinking? hmmm..

Reminiscing ..

So I was looking through some photos from summer, maybe just to make myself feel a little better about how cold it is just now? I don't know. Anyway, found a few photos I though i would show you! ...

I love this dress! I got it in Miss Selfridge (think it was just under £40) during the summer and I think its a perfect little summer dress. With buttons all the way up the front and little tan belt, its simple yet it looks amazing on! I have only wore it this one time .. thinking maybe get some use out of over the christmas period with a pair of wooly tights and a chunky cardi? (I actually forgot I owned this until I saw this picture - woops!)

Now on to a not so beautiful piece of clothing ..

This is my dad *cringe* on his 50th! This shirt is one of his many awful "holiday" shirts. I swear he wears them just to embarrass us! My aim in life is to cut this one up and put it in the bin .. where it belongs!
(Love you really dad! XX)

OH and P.S.

I currently have a MASSIVE crush on the One Direction boys - ain't they gorgeous!?

Not only being total hotties, I think they have a great style too! Many of my guy friends would probably disagree by saying they look "gay" or whatever but personally I think they look amazing. Loving Zayne's denim shirt with the patch of tartan on the shoulder and Louis' (my future husband) chritsmasy knit. Yum Yum Yum, could just eat them all up!! okay enough of the drooling .... X

Coursework Distractions ..

So it's been a crazy few weeks with coursework hand-in dates looming over my head - STRESS FEST. I can't wait to get most of them done and handed in as im heading back home for Christmas on the 15th eeeek! Hope santa is good to everyone, and hopefully brings me lots of shopping vouchers for uni's trip to London Fashion Week in February YAYAYAYAYAY :) !! (been waiting on this for ages and a tad over excited about it)

Speaking of Fashion Week - its Online Fashion Week just now (5th - 9th of Dec) so Vogue is doing its best to distract me from coursework, bad Hannah! Offering great deals, exclusive collections and competitions im kind of glued to it at the moment and will be all week.

20% of designer brands at fashionrocks.com - lots of GORGY McQueen clothing!
This is like my perfect Christmas dress, Beautiful!

wow - lightening print leggings. Think I may have to find a cheaper version though at £150!

A few people on the Vogue website have also been blogging on the OFW page about these cute little creatures and I may have to turn on the puppy dog eyes (quite literally) to try and convince my dad . Its a french bulldog - awwwww! With designers such as Henry Holland with their eyes on them im sure they will be on many a Christmas list this year and no wonder!

So with it only being day one of OFW im sure I will be keeping my eyes peeled over the week to see if I can grab myself any good deals before Christmas (even if its not the puppy) but I would check it out if I were you.

Bringing Some Style to Girvan

I had a flying visit back to Girvan (a shitty town down the south west coast, if and of you haven't heard of it!) a few weekends ago and brought back some style to the miserable little town! All my family were down and we went out for a meal then back to my house for a booze up - what us lot do best - for my auntie and uncles wedding anniversary. Treated myself to a new outfit for the occasion ..

"Roxy Music" Vest - Miss Selfridge £24  Black Maxi - River Island £25  Printed Cardi - Republic £35

Love the print on this cardi - its very D&G but obviously not with my budget! Also working the leopard print nails thanks to my little sister Kerri - thanks babes - she used a tan topshop nailpolish for the base then No7 's devil red for the spots and liquid eyeliner (a trick I stole from one of my fellow fashion bloggers) for the print then a clear top coat just to keep the eyeliner in place.
Oh and also thanks to my dad for being photographer haha!

The Reem Team

This is a cheeky wee snap shot of a part of out shoot yesterday!
As a part of coursework we had to organize our own photoshoot for a fashion spread, our idea was "essex glam" but in really grotty parts of Aberdeen. So us girls got our essex on and hit some rough areas to get some photos! This one is Emma and I outside a pub in Torry, I have to say we froze our asses off in those dresses and nearly killed ourselves walking about in heels all day (and yes, at one point I did fall flat on my bum attempting to walk across a cobbled street!) but it was all in the name of coursework. We also got some shots down by the harbour, in the market and down by the tunnles so hopefully they turn out well! Our photographers were great, they probably hated us dragging them all round Aberdeen but they done well.

Ruth and I looking "reem" practicing our poses.

A Not So Spooky Halloween

So this was my chosen halloween outfit this year, a Moulin Rouge dancer sort of thing. Its actually the same outfit I wore last year as I was pretty unorganized on the whole costume front  but SHH no one will never know! I had to do a bit of DIY to the skirt (a few safety pins was as far as I went) to show off the frills underneath in true CanCan dancer style. A few of my fellow fashion/blogger girls had a messy night starting at my friends flat then out in town, everyone was looking great .. not so sure about that by then end of the night though!!

A Little Gem

So today i discovered a little gem..
I was shopping on asos (when meant to be doing coursework, but the 25% student discount was just soooo tempting!) and found asos marketplace << link :) Which has lots of different boutiques including a wide range of online vintage stores, blogs, great photography and a section where you can actually sell your own pieces. I don't know why I haven't discovered it before! I'm loving the cute little vintage stores, if you want something quirky and a little bit different its the place to go.

I adore this jacket!! Really want a vintage leather!

Glittery Dreams

How come us girls are instantly attracted to anything high heeled and sparkly!? I must get a pair of these sparkly bad boys for the christmas/new year party season, they are gorgeous.

The top two pairs are from the Miu Miu collection, aren't they fab? The glitter ankle boot with the suede detail and peep toe give a different edge to the tradition "party shoes" but at £555 a pop I can't say I can afford them on my student budget!
The third pair are from the KG collection at Kurt Geiger. Being described as "disco diva" on the website, I can just imagine rocking out at a new year party with these beauties on. I love the chunky heel with the platform and the sliver glitter just screams glam! This pair are much cheaper at £160, but still pretty expensive.   A girl can only dream, right?

I had a look about the highstreet stores to find something similar, and much cheaper, and these are perfect!! These are pretty similar to the Miu Miu style with the suede buckle detail but only £80 from Topshop. I MUST HAVE THEM.

Payday tomorrow, should I? ..

Rihanna's Debut

Rihanna is looking absolutely gorgeous, as ever, on her debut cover of British Vogue. The november issue has her pictured in a stunning couture Armani Prive dress and a blonde wig looking very glamorous!
For those who don’t know me, I am a massive Rihanna fan! Her music is great and she is one of my style icons. I love the way she dresses, she always looks amazing no matter what she is wearing! Rihanna has had so many looks over the years from her short cropped hair and leotards in the “Umbrella” music video to the edgy, punky look for her album “Rated R” to her very girly, bright red hair, floral patterns and romance for her most recent album “LOUD” She is a real trend setter and I am glad to see her on the cover of British Vogue. Hopefully the first of many!
