A Little Catch Up

I am so bad for saying that I am going to keep up on the blogging front and it always ends up as big fat FAIL. So here is a little catch up on what I have been getting up to!

Firstly - LONDON.

Had the most amazing few days in London with uni. With it being the end of fashion week and getting to go to fashion weekend, it couldn't of been a better time to go. Basically drained my bank account - but when in London!! 

This was my outfit choice for the fashion show at Somerset House (which is gorgeous by the way!)

This tan shopper bag from Zara is amazing, been looking for a nice handbag for ages and this one fitted the bill perfectly!

Some of us outside the flagship Topshop store on Oxford Street - HEAVEN IN A SHOP.

I swear I could of spent my whole day in this store, it's basically a fashion students heaven. With our course leader recommending that we had a look around as it will be handy for our coursework (paha) who would of said no???

I also bought the most gorgeous pair of 70s vintage Gucci sunglasses while at somerset house, the stall was set up from the website http://www.retrosun.co.uk/ which source vintage frames from the 70's and 80's and replace the lenses to make them UV protected ect. I also got a good discount from buying them there and then - pretty chuffed! I promise to make a post about them next! (too good not to show you!)

I have also been hooked on Milan and Paris fashion weeks since we got back. Sadly online though, maybe one day I could be there seeing it live and not through a steaming video in Aberdeen!

Some of my faves was from Milan - Jill Sander, Roberto Cavalli and Dolce and Gabbana.

From Paris - Chanel, Louis Vuitton (That train - wow.), Miu Miu and Alexander McQueen who was amazing as always!

The amazing runway for Chanel RTW A/W'12/13 - Couldn't keep my eyes off this one! With the crystals, model's glittery eyebrows and glitter velvet jeans. Well done lagerfeld!

February Wants

So as I mentioned in my last post I am having some serious fashion envy right now.

saving = poop.

First off, I am loving all the pastel colours out for spring. All gorgeous and can drag any outfit from the winter blues...

This cute mint green dress from Topshop is high on my list! Teamed with a denim jacket and a pair of pumps for day or a heap of silver jewellery and chunky wedges for a night out.

Next is the bold aztec prints which have appeared back for the spring.

Love this printed cardi from Miss Selfridge.

These are very bold, but I love them. Topshop's finest again!

I have have also recently grew a love for Converse - I don't why because I used to hate them when i was younger.  I want a studded pair like below - maybe find a pair in London??

If not I think I'm going to have to invest in a studding machine and do a bit of DIY to my own pair?

Fashion Envy & Summer Dreaming.

So tomorrow brings February and I certainly have the winter blues! I'm in need of some sunshine, cocktails and a break away from the bore of Aberdeen - although I have only been back at uni a total of 2 days. My resolution of taking this semester seriously and not leaving everything to the last minute is slowly going down the drain! I do have some motivation though - LONDON FASHION WEEK! So hard trying to save, because I know I will want to buy everything in sight when I get there so I have some major fashion crushes right now but I'm trying my hardest not to spend money on clothes. But, I am going to a pop-up vintage store in Aberdeen tomorrow night so I suppose thats allowed right?? ...

Hurry up summer '12!

Seriously need to get my ass in gear and get this blog up and running again! Been busy with coursework/exams then a few nights out celebrating the fact that its all over .. for just now. So my mission is to start blogging again. Deffo want to keep this up :)

My mission is to get in the christmas spirit as im really not feeling it this year - boooo i know. So today im going to my mums work where the primary school choir are singing, and if anything is going to get me in the spirit it will be mince puddings, mulled wine and a carol service! :)

Major Love

Reminiscing ..

 So I was looking through some photos from summer, maybe just to make myself feel a little better about how cold it is just now? I don't know. Anyway, found a few photos I though i would show you! ...

I love this dress! I got it in Miss Selfridge (think it was just under £40) during the summer and I think its a perfect little summer dress. With buttons all the way up the front and little tan belt, its simple yet it looks amazing on! I have only wore it this one time .. thinking maybe get some use out of over the christmas period with a pair of wooly tights and a chunky cardi? (I actually forgot I owned this until I saw this picture - woops!)

Now on to a not so beautiful piece of clothing .. 

This is my dad *cringe* on his 50th! This shirt is one of his many awful "holiday" shirts. I swear he wears them just to embarrass us! My aim in life is to cut this one up and put it in the bin .. where it belongs!
